Idris
Young

bio

Idris Young is interested in the repeating and the delayed, the burgeoning and the fugitive. Through references to scarred landscapes, half returns, and black ghosts unburied, Young’s paintings depart from teleologies of concreteness and finality. Can an alternate form of care and intimacy instead lie in the stuttering space between emergence and dissolution?
